Greater vision needed on 1916 Moore Street site.

Fianna Fáil are unwilling to dispose of the 24/25 Moore Street site which is required by the developer to build his oversized shopping centre project. Fianna Fáil are opposed to that vision of the Moore Street historic quarter and believe that a more appropriate proposal which sits along side the national monument is required.

This area has great historic and economic potential and we want to see greater vision for the use of the whole terrace and adjoining lands. The relevant Minister, Heather Humphries must consider how the state can now secure the ownership of the National Monument site and work with NAMA to bring forward a project for the surrounding area that will inspire future generations of Irish people
